WORSHIP

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Our worship services are open to everyone. Infants, children, youth, and adults are all invited. Whether you are a long-time member of the United Methodist Church or are visiting for the first time, we are glad you are interested in worshipping with us. We have one traditional worship opportunity at 10AM on Sundays, which includes Feeding of the Lambs (for our children). Children’s church is available, if desired. We offer an 8:30AM service for those who are At-Risk during the current health crisis as well as on-line worship. Before attending you are also welcome to view previous services here.:

MUSIC

One of the treasures of Heflin First UMC is our music department. The choir’s beautiful anthems give voice to our hearts and minds during worship each week. Their seasonal cantatas and events (such as Heflin Hee Haw) are filled with celebration, joy, and much laughter. We are blessed to have guest musicians as well as our resident pianist, Janie Wilson and our music director, Dr. Jermey Benson. The music department also includes our handbell choir and children’s music classes on Wednesday evening.

During the current health crisis we are doing all we can to make your health a priority. Increased cleaning and sanitization, masks for all participants (5 and up), and social distancing are a part of our weekly plan. Please help us prepare for your arrival at our 8:30AM or 10AM service by submitting your RSVP weekly. Even if you are unable to RSVP, you are always welcome in worship!
